Kyyba, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Automotive Engineer (Ref# AE214NS).

Work Location
Farmington Hills, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties
Responsible for the engineering, analysis, design, development, and/or support of client automotive products, components, systems, sub-systems, and/or software systems and automotive technologies. Develop new or improved designs or processes for vehicle structural members, engines, transmissions, or other vehicle interior/exterior systems. Identify and analyze system requirements and specifications. Responsible for building, modification, and/or testing of vehicle components. Conduct automotive design reviews, technical reviews, and system-level automotive testing. Develop and/or implement calibration solutions and perform diagnostic testing using standard instrumentation toolsets. Provide vehicle assessments and communicate potential quality issues. Coordinate engineering projects with cross-functional teams and/or departments and provide technical support. Write, review, or maintain engineering documentation. Establish production or quality control standards. Support program direction based upon cost, timing, complexity, and other commodity imperatives. Communicate with suppliers and/or customers on a regular basis.

  • Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Technical Manager, or related automotive experience.
  • Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience.
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.

Job Duties
Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support applications software, including native (iOS and Android) and hybrid (React Native) mobile applications. Responsible for modifying existing application code or interfaces or building new application components from detailed requirements. Perform hybrid mobile application development using React Native and iOS application development with Swift and Objective-C. Create or update responsive UI components for various mobile devices in React Native and CSS based on the given requirements. Involved in wireframe and API design discussions to understand end to end functioning. Participate in most aspects of programming and application development, including file design, update, storage, and retrieval. Conduct application coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and monitoring. Interact with different departments within the organization regarding new application deployments. Contribute to the development of project schedules and workflows. Recommend changes and enhancements to software applications. Collaborate with different teams to understand the systems and subsystems for quickly identifying and providing technical solutions. Provide technical support on enhancements, fixes, and regular upgrades of the applications. Use of Objective-C, Swift, React Native, Xcode, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Services (REST & SOAP), Bitbucket, SVN, Git, GitHub, Firebase, SQL, iOS, and Windows.

Requirements
This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Objective-C, Swift, React Native, Xcode, and JavaScript. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
