Work Location
Farmington Hills, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties
Responsible for the engineering, analysis, design, development, and/or support of client automotive products, components, systems, sub-systems, and/or software systems and automotive technologies. Develop new or improved designs or processes for vehicle structural members, engines, transmissions, or other vehicle interior/exterior systems. Identify and analyze system requirements and specifications. Responsible for building, modification, and/or testing of vehicle components. Conduct automotive design reviews, technical reviews, and system-level automotive testing. Develop and/or implement calibration solutions and perform diagnostic testing using standard instrumentation toolsets. Provide vehicle assessments and communicate potential quality issues. Coordinate engineering projects with cross-functional teams and/or departments and provide technical support. Write, review, or maintain engineering documentation. Establish production or quality control standards. Support program direction based upon cost, timing, complexity, and other commodity imperatives. Communicate with suppliers and/or customers on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Technical Manager, or related automotive experience.
  • Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience.
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.

Kyyba, Inc. has an opening for the position of Material Control Specialist (Ref# MCS818DJC).

Job Duties
Responsible for material planning, logistics, supply chain, production scheduling, warehouse, inventory, supplier management, and customer service as a materials specialist for automotive industry clients. Ensure availability of the right parts in the right quantity, at the right software level (E/E), and at the right time to support the plant and production program and material supply targets as they align to production goals. Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Control System. Responsible for analyzing and reporting on inventory management controls. Monitor internal supply chain processes impacting part availability. Control part availability for on-going series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical and software changes within the scope for minimization of obsolescence costs. Maintain and analyze the monthly supplier rating and yearly SUMIS (Supplier Management Information System) rating information. Initiate corrective actions with supplier and require escalations as delegated. Control supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity at the correct software level of parts, while optimizing the stock on hand. Involved in productive material inventory management including float analysis, cycle count compliance, record integrity, and reconciliation activities. Ensure the availability of materials for future requirements at the correct level. Preview inventories of parts on the floor and in the warehouse and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accurate releases. Ensure adequate information flow to keep management informed concerning E/E issues, following proper escalation procedures. Coordinate internally with all departments and vendors during build outs and design changes to provide accurate data to eliminate excess overages and shortages. Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, supplier releases, and delivery schedules to ensure material availability.

Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Material Analyst, Material Planner, or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with material availability, supply chain, and supplier management. 40hrs/week.
